Web part overview
The Professional Anniversaries web part automatically displays the professional anniversaries in your Digital Workplace. It creates social bond to boost employee engagement and help your employee to know each other. It also displays social news with no maintenance cost from your communication teams.
You can select a range date and personalize the perimeter with Entra ID groups and request to get the right anniversaries depending on the web part's context.
User functionality
The Professional Anniversaries web part displays the upcoming professional anniversaries such as name, job title, date of arrival and seniority.
The button on the right of the employee's profile picture is used to communicate with him or her through Microsoft's Team.
Use cases
This web part can be used to :
- Display the professional anniversaries of the next week in your department
- Display the professional anniversaries of the next month in your project
Prerequisites
The Professional Anniversaries web part uses information from your Entra ID to display the list of anniversaries. We use the "Employee hire date" property to display the professional anniversaries.

In order for anniversaries to be displayed automatically, the Entra ID administrator in charge of managing user profile for your company must set the "Employee hire date" property for each account.
This property can be updated manually, or automatically via the automations you set up to manage the arrival of your new employees.
How to update a profile in Entra ID
Add the web part
- Open the edit mode of the SharePoint page by clicking on edit at the top right of the page,
- Position the mouse over or under an existing web part, and click the "+" button to open the web part catalog.
- Search or scroll down in the catalog to select the Professional Anniversaries web part in the category "News, people and event".
- The web part is added to the desired location.
Setting up the web part
There are three categories of available settings for the Professional Anniversaries web part:
- Layout
- Content settings
- Display
1. Layout
- Choose the size of the web part by clicking on: Small, Medium or Large. It corresponds to Jint's standard web part size that you can use to align web part in your pages.
- Personalize the size of the web part by adding the amount of pixels under "Customize".
- According to the height value, the web part will display an either Small or Medium Card

2. Content settings
- Choose to display the title of the web part by activating "Show web part title".
- Write a title in the text box.
- Duration range display allows you to set the period of arrivals to display the Professional Anniversaries within range. It can be specific period or customized in days.
- You can also select a perimeter of people defined by Entra ID groups to scope the employee for which you display the Professional Anniversaries.
- There is an option to include or not external account. They are not included by default

You can also manually add filters to customize the scope. The Professional Anniversaries web part uses the user resource of Microsoft Graph APIs. For example, if you want to display the anniversaries for a particular function like director, you would write "JobTitle eq 'Director'".
You can hit the "Run" button to make sure your filter is correct, and get the API's answer otherwise.

3. Display
- Add a shadow effect of the web part by activating "Enable shadow" and choose between Light, Normal and Strong shadow.

- The "Radius" setting allows you to select the border shape of the WebPart. You can choose between the settings: Semi-rounded, Rounded and Pill. You can also customize it yourself by adding the amount of pixels.
- You can choose the card colors. You can set the color, a gradient and transparency of the cards.
