Web part overview
My tasks displays tasks assigned to the user from various Microsoft 365 Apps ! It gathers task from Microsoft Planner, Microsoft To Do and Outlook. My tasks help centralize all the user information in the Digital Workplace to help him organize his day and stay up to date with his priority tasks !
User functionality
With My tasks, the users can list his task from different Microsoft 365 Apps
- Microsoft To Do : all the list tasks from To Do are available
- Microsoft Planner : My tasks displays all tasks that are assigned to you in a plan
- Outlook : All follow-up flags you put on a mail can be retrieved in the "Flagged Emails" list
The tasks are clustered by To Do List and Planner plan. You can also access to all the subtasks you created to plan your actions.
Your tasks can be validated and invalidated directly from the web part
Use cases
You can add My tasks web part to :
- Create a personal dashboard page for your users
- Display the user tasks in his company Digital Workplace
Prerequisites
My tasks web part requires extended delegated permissions to function properly. It uses the following permissions:
- Tasks.ReadWrite
To approve permission requests, please refer to the following article: Approval of Permissions.
If the web part returns no results, it is likely that permissions have not been granted during installation.
Add the web part
- Open the edit mode of the SharePoint page by clicking on edit at the top right of the page,
- Position the mouse over or under an existing WebPart, and click the "+" button to open the web part catalog.
- Search or scroll down in the catalog to select My tasks web part in the category "My tasks".
- The web part is added to the desired location.
Setting up the web part
My tasks web part only offers standard customization options.
