Widget overview

The My profile widget provides a quick view of essential information (profile picture, department, job title, and location) of the currently logged-in user on the page. It also includes a button to edit the user's profile.

My profile allows users to add a personal touch to a dashboard.

User functionality

The widget displays information from Microsoft 365 profiles: the name, job title, department, and location.

The profile displayed is that of the logged-in user.

The "Edit" button links to the profile page, which the user can update.

Use cases

This widget can be used to:

• Display the user's profile in a personal dashboard or home page ;
• Update the profile directly in Teams.

Widget configuration

There are no configuration settings to adjust. The information is displayed directly.

Technical Note

The profile widget displays the user's Microsoft 365 profile, which can be managed in the SharePoint administration center.

If you manage your users in Entra ID, the Microsoft 365 profile and Entra ID are generally synchronized. If this is not the case, please contact your Microsoft support team.

Please note that some information cannot be modified by the user himself, and that the administrator supervises the updating of this data.
