Widget overview
The Anniversary widget automatically displays professional birthdays of colleagues, in the Digital Workplace.
This creates a social link to stimulate employee engagement and help them integrate.
You can select a date range to customize the display.
User functionality
The Anniversary widget displays current information on upcoming professional anniversaries, and provides colleagues' information such as name, job title, date of arrival and seniority.
The button to the right of the employee's profile photo lets you communicate with him or her via Microsoft Teams.
Use cases
This widget can be used to:
- Display work anniversaries coming up soon in your company.
Widget configuration
- Display Duration: Allows you to set the time period for displaying professional anniversaries. It can be a specific defined period or a custom period in days.
Requirements
The Anniversary widget uses information from your Entra ID to display a list of new arrivals. It calculates professional anniversary dates based on the "Employee hire date" property filled in the Entra ID for all your employees.

For the automatic display of professional anniversaries, it is essential that the Entra ID administrator responsible for creating new accounts in your company accurately fills in this property for each created account.
This property can be updated either manually or automatically through the processes you establish to manage the onboarding of new team members.
