This article walks you through the steps required to configure and manage the Jint Intranet Mobile Application.
Learn how to obtain the necessary permissions, customize your app’s appearance, and add content for your employees.
Prerequisites
Before getting started, make sure you have the following:
Administrator Permissions: You must either have Global Administrator rights in your Microsoft 365 environment or be assigned the Mobile Application Administrator role by an existing administrator.
Jint Installation: The Jint app must be installed and configured. A Jint Mobile license must be assigned to your tenant.
Brand Assets: Prepare your company logo (in
.pngor.jpgformat) and your primary brand color (hexadecimal format, e.g.,#005A9E).
Creating Your Mobile Application
1. Accessing the Mobile Application Editor
Assign the Role (Global Administrator Action)
Open the Configuration Panel.
Go to the Permissions or Role Management section.
Search for the user you want to designate as the mobile app administrator.
Assign the role “Mobile Application Administrator” and save.
Access the Mobile Application Menu
If the role has just been assigned, log out and log back into the Configuration Panel.
You’ll now see a new “Mobile Application” menu in the main navigation bar.
2. Customizing the Appearance of Your App
Open General Settings
In the Mobile Application Editor, click the Settings icon to open the configuration panel.
Configure Branding Elements
App Name: Define how the app name will appear in the header.
Logo: Upload your company logo to display at the top of the app.
Primary Color: Select your brand color to apply it to key interface elements.
Important: These settings affect the app’s appearance within the mobile interface. They do not modify the app icon or name as displayed on the user’s phone home screen.
3. Structuring Content and Publishing
Manage Navigation Tabs
Go to the Tabs section to create the main navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
Click + Add a Tab to create a new tab (up to five tabs maximum).
Customize each tab by selecting a name and an appropriate icon.
Reorder tabs via drag and drop using the handle on the left — the live preview will update automatically.
Add Content Widgets
1. Select the tab you want to edit.
2. Click Add a Widget to open the library of 19 available widgets (News, Quick Links, Directory, etc.).
3. Choose a widget to add it to the page.
4. Configure each widget by filling in the required fields (e.g., title, content source, display options).
5. Rearrange widgets on the page using drag and drop to adjust their order of appearance.
Publish Your Changes
Click the Publish button at the top right of the editor to apply your modifications.
⚠️ Note: There is no “Draft” mode. Every time you click Publish, your changes become instantly visible to all users.
We recommend publishing regularly to avoid losing progress.
Users who already have the app open will need to close and reopen it to see the updates.
