This guide is for Teams administrators and explains how to deploy and pin the Jint app to your users' sidebar. Prerequisite: Access to the Microsoft Teams admin center.
Step 1: Allow or Upload Jint
Ensure Jint is available in your organization.
- Go to Teams apps > Manage apps.
- If Jint is from the Store: Search for Jint for Teams (ex-MODA) and check that its status is "Allowed".
Step 2: Modify the Setup Policy
This is where you will pin Jint for Teams (ex-MODA).
- Go to Teams apps > Setup policies.
- Choose your target:
- For all users: Click the Global (Org-wide default) policy.
- For a group of users: Click + Add to create a new policy (e.g., "Policy with Jint").
- In the Pinned apps section, click + Add apps.
- Search for and add Jint for Teams (ex-MODA).
- Use the handles (or the "Move up" button) to place Jint for Teams (ex-MODA) at the top of the list for better visibility.
- Click Save.
Step 3: Assign the policy (if necessary)
If you created a new policy in Step 2 (and did not modify the "Global" one), you must assign it:
- On the Setup policies page, select your new policy.
- Click Manage users or Group assignment.
- Add the relevant users or groups.
Step 4: Wait (Propagation)
- Delay: The changes can take between 2 and 24 hours to be visible.
- User action: Users may need to restart their Teams client to see Jint appear on their sidebar.
