This article explains how to add a custom footer in SharePoint via the Unified Experience, easily configured with the Jint Configurator.
To get started, access the online Configurator here: https://config.jint.io/.
- Log in and go to the "Unified Experience" tab, which groups customization options, including the footer.
- Select "Footer" to manage the elements at the bottom of your SharePoint pages.
- Add links by providing:
- The visible name of the link.
- The destination URL.
- An illustrative logo.
- The link categories for clear organization.
- The targeted audiences according to user profiles.
For the logo, choose an appropriate and high-quality format to enhance the appearance and recognition of the links in your footer.
Option 1: Use an Icon Found on the Internet
You can search for an image on a search engine, such as Google. Make sure the image meets the following criteria:
- Format: SVG.
- Dimensions: 32x32 pixels.
Once the image is found, copy its URL link and then paste it directly into the "File Path" field. This method is ideal if you do not have an internal image library.
Option 2: Use an Image Already Available on SharePoint
If the icon is already stored in your SharePoint environment:
- Access the SharePoint folder containing the icon.
- Click on Details to display its properties.
- Copy the exact access path of the image.
- Paste this link into the "File Path" field.
If you have further questions or encounter any difficulties, feel free to consult our other guides or contact our support team. We are here to help you.
Attention:
If you want to update the icon of an application that was added before January 2026, make sure that the application URL meets one of the following conditions:
- Be in HTTPS format;
- Or be of the mailto type.
Indeed, it is no longer possible to add or update applications whose URLs do not meet one of these conditions.
