Web part overview
This article describes the "Newcomer's notebook" web part, which displays a list of recently arrived employees in the company.
This web part is now obsolete and will no longer be available at the end of 2023. We recommend using the Newcomers web part instead.
Add the web part
- Open the edit mode of the SharePoint page by clicking on edit at the top right of the page.
- Position the mouse above or under an existing web part, and click the "+" button to open the web part catalog.
- Search or scroll down in the catalog to select the Newcomers web part in the category "Documents, lists and libraries".
- The web part is added to the desired location.

The following elements can be set directly in the web part:
The following elements can be configured in the contributor panel:
- Number of days the newcomer is displayed
- Show the border
- Set the background to white
It is then possible to select people available in the Office profiles and to indicate a role, a description and an arrival date.
In display mode, the people are automatically sorted by chronological arrival date. After X days in the company (definable in the web part settings), each person is no longer displayed.
