Component Overview
This article describes the "Document Templates" Web Part which displays the document templates of your company.
When the user clicks on the template, Office will launch the creation of a new document based on this template.
Then, the user will just have to save it via the Office menus.
Add the component
- If you are not already in edit mode, click on edit at the top right of the page.
- Position the mouse pointer over or under an existing Web Part or under the title area and click on the + button, then select the "Document Templates" Web Part.
- Click on edit items on the left to set the options for the Web Part.
Options of the Web Part
Search possibilities
- On the whole tenant
- On the current site
- In a particular SharePoint folder (by specifying its URL)
- For a document template to be displayed, it must be an Office template (dotx, potx...)
The maximum number of templates displayed is configurable. The last modified templates are displayed first.
