Presentation of the component
This article describes the "Community launcher" WebPart component that allows you to present a community in order to attract users to participate.
Add the web part
Open the edit mode of the SharePoint page by clicking on edit at the top right of the page,
Position the mouse over or under an existing web part, and click the "+" button to open the web part catalog.
Search or scroll down in the catalog to select the Community launcher web part
The web part is added to the desired location.
Community launcher web part options
There are two possible types of background for the component:
- Color
- Image
The change of the text color allows to reverse the color of the text of the component.
The first link allows you to set up the floating button, it is possible to choose :
- The title of the button (Label)
- The link of the button
- To open the link in a new tab
- The background color of the button
The second link allows you to display the link at the bottom of the component, the options are:
- Link title (Label), the presence of the link title conditions the presence of the second link
- The URL of the link
- The opening in a new tab
The following elements can be set directly in the Web Part:
- Title of the community
- The content text
The setting of the title and content of the component is done directly in the visual of the component.

Example of user experience:
The "Participate in the community" link can, for example, point to the community's Yammer space.
A second link "Learn more" to an explanatory page of the community.
