Presentation of the component
This article describes the "Suggestion Box" web part component that allows your collaborators to share their ideas. The ideas are then submitted to a vote in order to highlight the most relevant ones.
Add the web part
Open the edit mode of the SharePoint page by clicking on edit at the top right of the page,
Position the mouse over or under an existing web part, and click the "+" button to open the web part catalog.
Search or scroll down in the catalog to select the Suggestion Box web part.
The web part is added to the desired location.
Idea box web part options
The following items can be configured:
- Select a list:
- You can either select an existing list in which to save ideas, or create a new list directly from the component. A "response" list is automatically created to keep the contributors' responses.
- Once the list is created, everyone can share their ideas and vote for ideas posted by other contributors.
- Enable or disable the sharing of new ideas by users
- Change the number of visible items
- The color of the thumbnails to be displayed are customizable.
