Presentation of the component

This article describes the "Top Contributors" Web Part that displays the top contributors of a site. A room can be formed by one or more SharePoint sites.

Add the web part

1. Open the edit mode of the SharePoint page by clicking on edit at the top right of the page,

2. Position the mouse over or under an existing web part, and click the "+" button to open the web part catalog. 

3. Search or scroll down in the catalog to select the Top Contributors web part

4. The web part is added to the desired location. 

Top Contributors web part options

The following elements can be configured:

• It is possible to search for contributors only from the current site, or from a list of sites:
  • If "Current Site" is selected, only the contributors of this site are searched
  • If "Other Site" is selected, it becomes possible to search in the tenant the sites from which you want to select and aggregate the best contributors.
• The number of people to be tracked

Remarks :

A contribution is the addition of a page, a document or an event in a site. Editing a document created by another person does not count as a contribution.

However, be careful not to ask to search in too many sites: the more elements to analyze, the more time the component will take to load
