Web Part component options
- You can target audiences. Only people who are in the groups with the specified credentials will see the Web Part. If not specified, everyone will see it.
- You can define the list of buttons. Each button has a title and a page ID to copy. When the user clicks on the button, the page with the corresponding ID is copied and the user is redirected to the copied page.
- You can define a background color for the contribution buttons.
Button Properties
To configure the button, you need to add the ID of the page that will serve as a template for users
To retrieve the ID of the template page, please go to your Sites page and make sure you have the ID column, as shown below
If the column is not visible, you can add it from the right side of your page by clicking on Add a column and then Show or hide columns
Next, check the ID column and then click Apply
You can also choose the folder where you want to save all the templates completed by users using the 'Select a folder' button
For the contributor user
The contributor clicks on the button, then enters the title of the page he wants to create. A URL is then automatically generated, and he can modify it if he wishes. The page is then created, and the user is redirected to the new page and only has to edit it.
❗If you use an article as a template, the new content will be created as a page. The contributor will then need to click "Promote" and select "Publish as news on this site" if they want to share their content.
