User functionality
The Profile web part displays Microsoft 365 profile information such as name, job title, which department he or she is working in and location.
The profile displayed can be either :
- the current user
- or the profile you defined
The edit button redirects the current user to the Delve profile page, where the user can update some of its information.
For profile other than yourself, you have option to contact directly the colleague displayed.
Technical Note
The profile component displays the user's Microsoft 365 profile, which can be managed in Delve or in the SharePoint Admin Center.
If you manage your users in Entra ID, the Microsoft 365 profile and Entra ID are usually synchronized. If this is not the case, we invite you to contact your Microsoft support.
Note that some information cannot be modified by the user and that the administrator is in charge of updating this data.
