You will find here a dedicated FAQ for the Contribution Center, gathering common user questions and their solutions.
Why does a red error message appear when I try to create an article?
User permission level
To use the Contribution Center, your SharePoint permission level is essential.
Check your SharePoint admin rights
Make sure you have SharePoint admin rights.
Verify your site permissions
Go to Site Settings > Site Permissions.
Identify the group you belong to, then click Permission Levels and select the level associated with your group.
Check the permissions list and make sure the following permission is enabled:
👉 "Manage Lists – Create and delete lists, add or remove columns, and create or delete public views of a list."
If not, you must enable it or create a new permission level that includes it.
⚠️ If you create a new permission level associated with a new user group, remember to add this group to lists with unique permissions (in particular Site Pages and Attachments).
If your group does not have this permission, creating content through the Contribution Center will not be possible, even if you have access to the interface. This is a current limitation of the feature.
Contribution Center app consent
The error may also occur if the Contribution Center application was not properly consented during the Jint installation.

Contribution Center app consent
Why is the validation button greyed out when I try to create an article?
This behavior is caused by the same reasons as above (insufficient SharePoint permission level or missing app consent).
What should I do if my page keeps reloading and shows errors related to the Contribution Center?
This is a known behavior linked to an ongoing change on Microsoft’s side. Fortunately, we can provide a workaround.
Root cause
Microsoft infrastructure change: the page reload issue is linked to a Microsoft update that changes how SharePoint Framework (SPFx) solution permissions are managed in Microsoft Entra ID.
Concretely, Microsoft is gradually replacing the legacy application SharePoint Online Client Extensibility Web Application Principal with a new one, SharePoint Online Web Client Extensibility.
This transition affects API permission management for SharePoint-deployed solutions. In some cases, it may temporarily revoke certain permissions, which impacts the proper functioning of Jint features and may cause repeated page refreshes.
What to check (requires Azure AD/Entra ID and SharePoint admin rights)
Here are two steps that may fix the issue (to be performed in order):
-
Consent to the Jint Contribution Center application
Go to Microsoft Entra ID (or Azure AD) > Enterprise Applications.
Check if the Jint Contribution Center application is present.
If not, an administrator must consent to the application by clicking this link:
-> Consent to the Mozzaik365 Contribution Center application
-
Approve API permissions
Go to the SharePoint Admin Center > Advanced Settings > API Access.
Check if the Jint Contribution Center permission is pending approval.
If so, approve it.
These actions should resolve the observed behavior.
If the Contribution Center API permission does not appear, run the PowerShell script provided in the following article: Managing SharePoint Framework API Permissions with PowerShell.
Once the API permission appears in the SharePoint Admin Center, you can approve it.
The “+” button does not appear in the Unified Experience, what should I do?
Several checks are required:
App consent: make sure the Contribution Center application has been properly consented in your Azure AD / Entra ID (admin rights required).
API permissions: verify that API permissions have been approved in the SharePoint Admin Center: Advanced > API Access (SharePoint admin rights required).
Configurator access: your account must be added to the Contribution Center menu of the Configurator (Jint global admin rights required).
👉 If all these conditions are met but the button still does not appear, please contact our support via the Zendesk form or at support@mozzaik365.com.
Why don’t I see my SharePoint templates in the Contribution Center?
SharePoint templates are not automatically available in the Contribution Center. To use them:
Create a new SharePoint page from the desired template and publish it.
From this published page, create a publishing template in the Contribution Center.
👉 For more details, see the article: Create and manage your publishing templates.
What should I do if a purple “Update your Configurator permissions” button appears?
This message indicates an issue with Configurator app consent. Often, the Entra ID administrator has granted permissions only for their own account, not for the entire tenant.
Solution (Entra ID admin rights required):
Click the three dots next to the Configurator application.
Select Revoke consent.
During the new consent request, check the option to grant permissions to the entire tenant.
⚠️ Note: Only Entra ID administrators can perform this action. Other users, even Jint global admins, cannot update these permissions.
Why don’t I have access to the Newsletter even though I have access to the Contribution Center?
To install the Newsletter, please refer to our Newsletter installation guide.

Why aren’t the flexible sections of my page templates taken into account?
The Contribution Center does not yet support flexible sections. This feature is planned for a future release.
