This article describes all the steps required to install, configure, and deploy the Jint Mobile App, from retrieving the technical information to installing it on users’ devices.
Key steps
1. Retrieving the required information
1.1 Have an Entra ID (Azure AD) administrator account
You must have an Entra ID administrator account.
This account will have administrator access to MODA, which is the technical foundation of the Jint Mobile App.
This administrator will then be able to add other administrators.
1.2 Sign in to Entra ID
Sign in with your Microsoft 365 account using the following link: Entra ID
1.3 Retrieving the Entra ID administrator’s information
For the administrator account that will perform the installation, retrieve the following information:
Object ID (of the administrator user)
User Principal Name
Procedure:
Sign in to Entra ID.
Find the relevant administrator account.
Click this account to open its details.
-
You will find:
the Object ID (of the administrator user)
the User Principal Name.
1.4 Retrieving tenant information
Two pieces of information are required:
a. Client ID (Tenant ID)
Go to your tenant’s overview using the following link: Azure
In the interface, the tenant identifier is called the “Tenant ID”.
b. Initial tenant name (Primary domain)
Go to the “Custom domain names” menu using the following link: Azure
Find the entry ending in “.onmicrosoft.com” (you can use the filter bar).
Your initial tenant name is the portion located before “.onmicrosoft.com”.
2. Solution installation by the Jint teams
After sending this information to the Jint team, we can now proceed with activating the Jint Mobile App solution in your environment.
3. Configuration: access and permissions
Accessing Jint Portal
Go to Jint Portal: https://portal.jint.io/
Make sure you sign in with your Entra ID administrator account so that you can approve the various permissions. This account must also have Global Administrator and Mobile Administrator permissions in Jint Portal.
Warning : Mobile App Administrator permission is required in order to see the Mobile Application tab.Go to the Mobile Application tab.
A pop-up should open and ask you to approve the permissions required for the mobile application to function properly.
3.1 Authorizing the application for the administrator account
To function properly, the Jint Mobile App requires specific permissions to be granted.
Accept the permission requests during this step.
This first set of permissions authorizes the operation of an external application.
3.2 Authorizing the application for the organization
Without permission approval, the application will not be able to access the information required for the user features to function properly.
The associated functions will therefore not work properly.
🔐 Data security
Jint does not retain any sensitive data such as:
emails
news
tasks
user names
Only application configuration data is retained.
4. Verifying access
Granting access to other Jint mobile application administrators
Go to Jint Portal using the following link: https://portal.jint.io/
Go to the Users tab.
Grant permissions to the other administrator users.
5. Configuring the application
The Jint Mobile App is configured from the Mobile Application tab in Jint Portal.
6. Installation on users’ devices
Once configuration has been finalized and approved, the Jint Mobile App can be installed on users’ devices according to the procedures defined for your organization.
