The Creation feature (formerly the Contribution Center) lets you create SharePoint pages and articles from templates, directly from the Unified Experience. Templates guarantee a consistent layout that follows your communication standards: contributors focus on the content, while the structure and design are already in place.
This article explains how to access Création, how to create and manage your templates, and how to create a page or an article, manually or with the help of AI.

1. Access Creation
1.1 Open the Création menu
In the Unified Experience sidebar, click the ⊕ button. The Create menu opens with three choices:
- A page : create a page from a template.
- An article : create an article from a template.
- Manage templates : manage contribution templates.
1.2 Required permissions
Creating pages and articles, and managing templates, are reserved for users who have one of the following roles:
- Global Administrator, which automatically includes all modules and products;
- Contribution ("Writes and publishes content within the intranet").
These roles are assigned from Jint Portal, in Roles and Permissions.
💡 If the ⊕ button does not appear in your sidebar, check with your administrator that you have one of these roles.
2. Understand templates
2.1 What a template contains
A template is based on an existing SharePoint page, called the source page. It includes:
- the full content of the source page: layout, WebPart components, etc.;
- a thumbnail, identical to the one of the source page;
- the publication type: Page or Article.
Templates are not tied to a single SharePoint site: they can be used to create content across your whole environment.
2.2 The template type depends on the source page
⚠ The template type is determined by the source page. It cannot be chosen.
- To create an Article template, the source page must be an article.
- To create a Page template, the source page must be a page.
⚠ A template can only be used to create content of the same type. When you click A Page, only Page templates are offered. When you click An Article, only Article templates are offered.
👉 If a template does not appear in the list when you create content, check its type in Manage templates.
2.3 Choose the source page carefully
We recommend that the source page:
- is dedicated exclusively to this purpose;
- has restricted access;
- keeps a stable structure over time.
3. Manage templates
3.1 View the list of templates
- Click the ⊕ button in the sidebar.
- Click Manage templates.
The list of templates is displayed. For each template, you can see its thumbnail, its name, its type (Page or Article) and its date. Use the Search a template field to quickly find a template.
3.2 Create a template
- In Manage templates, click + New template.
- In Template name, enter the template name.
- In Select a source page, search for the page or article that will be the basis, then select it.
- Click Create.
⚠ Reminder: select an article to get an Article template, and a page to get a Page template.
💡 Give your templates a clear name (language, department, use) so that contributors easily find the right one.
3.3 Rename a template
- In Manage templates, hover over the template.
- Click the pencil icon.
- Edit the Template name, then confirm.
3.4 Delete a template
- In Manage templates, hover over the template.
- Click the trash icon.
4. Create a page or an article
4.1 Start the creation
- Click the ⊕ button in the sidebar.
- Click A page or An article, depending on the content to create.
The following steps are identical for a page and for an article.
4.2 Choose the creation mode
Two modes are available:
- With AI (Premium): generate the content from your instructions. See section 5.
- Manually : start from a template and fill it in.
For a manual creation, select Manually.
4.3 Choose a template
Select the starting template from the list. Use the Search a template field if needed.
⚠ Only templates of the type chosen in step 4.1 are offered: Page templates for a page, Article templates for an article.
4.4 Fill in the page details
Choose where to publish the content, and its title:
- Destination site: search for the site by name, then select it. No site is suggested by default.
- Folder by default, the content is saved at the root of the Site pages library ("/"). Change it if needed.
- Language: select the content language (for example en-EN).
- Title: enter the title of the page or article.
- Click Next.
4.5 Complete the creation
The creation takes a few seconds ("Creating your content..."). Once it is done, the message Your page has been created is displayed.
⚠ The content is generated as a draft. It is not visible to readers until you publish it.
- Click Open the page.
- Complete the content.
- Publish it like a standard SharePoint page.
5. Create with AI
5.1 Prerequisites
The With AI mode is a Premium feature.
👉 If this mode is not available in your plan, contact your Customer Success Manager to activate it.
5.2 AI creation steps
- Start the creation (A page or An article), then select With IA.
- Choose a template (see 4.3).
- Fill in the page details: Destination Site, Folder and Language (see 4.4), then click Next. There is no Title field at this step: the title is chosen later, from the AI's suggestions.
- Write your instructions and choose a tone (see 5.3).
- Choose a title (see 5.4).
- The content is created as a draft. Click Open page to review it, complete it, then publish it.
5.3 Write your instructions
- In Your instructions [À confirmer : libellé EN], describe what the AI should write (for example: "Write an article about well-being at work").
- Under Tone, select the tone you want: Professional, Formal, Casual, Inspirational, Friendly, Humorous, Instructional, Collaborative, Transparent or Empathetic.
- Click Next.
💡 The more precise your instructions are (topic, target audience, key points to cover), the more relevant the proposed content will be.
5.4 Choose a title
The AI suggests several titles. Click the one you want to use: it becomes the title of the page or article, and the creation starts.
⚠ Always review the AI-generated content before publishing it.
