Current status: Incident resolved
This incident required manual intervention on the Microsoft 365 tenant to recreate the Mozzaik365 Mailing service principal (Jint Newsletter) in a clean state. The procedure below describes the steps to follow to fix the situation.
Prerequisites
This procedure requires an account with the Global Administrator role in Entra ID or Application Administrator on the affected tenant.
Step 1 — Access Enterprise Applications
Go to the Entra ID portal, in the Applications > Enterprise applications section: 🔗 https://entra.microsoft.com/#view/Microsoft_AAD_IAM/StartboardApplicationsMenuBlade/~/AppAppsPreview
Step 2 — Search for the concerned service principal (application)
- In the search bar, enter: Mozzaik365 Mailing.
- Click on the corresponding service principal to open its details.

Step 3 — Permanently delete the service principal
- Go to the Properties tab → click the Delete button → confirm.
- Check under Entra ID → Applications → Deleted applications that no soft-deleted versions remain. If present → Permanently delete.

Step 4 — Re-consent to the service principal
Open the following link in private browsing, sign in as the tenant administrator, then accept the consent:

✅ Verify in Enterprise applications that Mozzaik365 Mailing is present again with the expected permissions:
- GroupMember.ReadAll
- User.Read
- User.ReadBasic.All
Step 5 — Delete then re-import the Jint Newsletter Studio package
- Go to the SharePoint Administration Center → More features → Apps → Manage apps:

- Delete the package
- Re-import the package

Step 6 — Re-accept SharePoint API permissions
To be executed only after confirmation from the Jint team of the redeployment.
Go to the SharePoint Admin Center → Advanced → API access: 🔗 https://<tenant>-admin.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/online/AdminHome.aspx#/webApiPermissionManagement
Approve the new pending permission requests related to Jint Newsletter.
✅ Final validation
Create a new Newsletter and verify if it sends correctly.
