From Jint Portal, you can centralize the applications used by your employees (business tools, HR, communication, etc.) and organize them into categories. These applications are then accessible from the Unified Experience and the My Applications component.
This article explains how to create categories, add and configure applications, and organize them from Jint Portal.

1. Where are applications displayed?
Applications configured in Jint Portal are visible in two places:
- In the Unified Experience, via the Applications button in the sidebar. The panel contains a search bar, the My favorite applications section, and applications organized by category. For more information, see the article New Unified Experience - Feature overview.
- In the My Applications component, which you can add to your SharePoint pages. For more information, see the My Applications component article.
2. Prerequisites
To configure applications, you must have access to Jint Portal with the appropriate administrative permissions. Roles are assigned from the Roles and permissions menu in Jint Portal.
3. Access application management
- Sign in to Jint Portal.
- In the left-hand menu, under Components, click Applications.
The Applications page has two tabs:
- Applications: list and configuration of applications

💡 Create your categories first. You can then associate them with your applications when you create them.
4. Manage categories
Categories let you group your applications by topic (for example: Communication, HR, Tools). Each category can be displayed or hidden in the Unified Experience and targeted to an audience.
The Categories tab displays the list of existing categories, including the following for each category:
- its name
- the number of applications associated with it
4.1 Create a category
- Click the Categories tab.
- Click Create a category.
- Enter the category information.
- Confirm the creation.
4.2 Edit or delete a category
- To edit a category, click the pencil icon on the category's row.
- To delete a category, click the trash icon on the category's row.
5. Manage applications
The Applications tab displays the list of all applications, including the following for each application:
- its position in the list
- its icon
- its title
- its URL
- its categories
- its audience ("Everyone" when no audience is defined)
5.1 Add an application
- Click the Applications tab.
- Click Add an application. The Manage application panel opens on the right side of the screen.
